Biny Table is an updated table lamp from DCW éditions, originally designed by Jacques Biny in 1958. Although the lamp has many years on its neck, it is still experienced today as modern with its robot-like appearance. Biny Table is made of steel and aluminum and has a unique screen that directs the light. This makes the lamp the perfect reading lamp as a pleasant, soft light can be directed in just the right direction. This updated variant is equipped with an integrated, replaceable LED light source and adjustable screen. Biny is a lighting series that was originally manufactured in Jacques Biny's own workshop, Luminalite, which he opened in 1955. There he produced modern lighting with a focus on functionality and with a design language that can be described as simple, restrained and elegant. Jacques Biny's efforts to improve the light in the home were well received and his lamps became popular in both Europe and America. Against this background, there was no doubt that DCW éditions was happy to take Biny Table and the other lamps in the series back into production.
